Generally, not. If a person is in a lot of pain initially, we do treatment to calm down inflammation and muscle spasm and may not do any adjustments or very light or low-force techniques. As the condition calms down/improves a different technique may be used to correct or normalize the joint/nervous system.

Not always. It depends on what condition a person has, if they have had an injury or trauma, their age, and other medical conditions they have all play a role in the doctor’s clinical judgement. I would be more concerned about places that don’t utilize x-rays or other imaging. Issues could be missed, not treated properly. No doubt sometimes “not seeing is, not knowing”. I would guess we x-ray 60-70% of our new patients and occasionally update them if clinically necessary due to a change in their health or injury. We do Thermography on 95% of our new patients. It is non-evasive, and measures temperature changes along the spine and nervous system, picking up irritation and inflammation.

We are providers on numerous insurance companies for Chiropractic Care including BC/BS. Aetna , Humana . WebTPA, all pay differently according to the policy or group. Some have a yearly deductible to meet before they pay, some a co-pay . Some only pay for so many visits or dollar amount per year (wh ich is not allows based on what a patient may need}. The care you need and the care your insurance pays for many times do not match up . We treat patients and their needs, not insurance companies. Acupuncture and Disc Decompression are not covered by insurance ; we do not file this treatment for you.
